Lap Top Requirements

As stated in our literature, students in Grades 6-9 need to have a lap top computer to access some of the learning tools provided by Bradenton Prep.  At a minimum, the lap top should meet the following requirements:

·      Pentium-speed processor with Microsoft Windows XP or higher.

·      128 MB RAM

·      Screen with 16bit, 800 x 600 resolution

·      24x or faster CD-ROM drive

·      Direct and Wi-Fi internet connections

·      Sound card and speakers

·      Hard disk with at least 40 MB available

·      Microphone

·      Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher

·      Office 97 or 2000 with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·      Graphics Program

·      Active and regularly updated antivirus program

·      Email account properly configured
