Bradenton Preparatory Academy's recognized "Core" Curriculum by E.D. Hirsch provides an enriching program for each student in history, science and literature.  Teachers provide an exciting tapestry of educational experiences weaving history, math, literature, and arts together in order to allow students to become active participants in their education. Research and writing skills are encouraged at every level and in every subject area.

The elementary curriculum stresses a strong foundation in reading, math, English, history and science. A phonetic-based reading program together with the individualized Sullivan Readers and sharing of good literatures produces a student who appreciates reading and writing.

Our math program includes the Everyday Mathematics Curriculum.  Everyday Mathematics was developed with the belief that children rarely learn a new concept or skill the first time they experience it.  Concepts are best understood after repeated exposures.  Therefore, the curriculum is spiraled and concepts are continuously being presented throughout the school year and across grade levels.

Homework includes material that reinforces class activities. Grade three students begin to receive letter grades for achievement. These grades will be accessible through the RenWeb program.
